Dr. Karthik Mani is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Occupational Therapy, University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. He received his entry-level degree in occupational therapy in India from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University and his post-professional doctoral degree in OT from Chatham University, Pittsburgh. Dr. Mani has nearly 16 years of clinical, administrative, and research experience in the field of occupational therapy. Prior to joining UTMB, Dr. Mani worked as an Assistant Director of External & Regulatory Affairs at the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Dr. Mani has presented at various state and national conferences and published two books, 15+ peer-reviewed articles, and a book chapter. In 2019, he founded the Indian Occupational Therapists Think Tank, a scholarly group, along with a few like-minded OT professionals in India.
