Meet Dr. Tithi

An accomplished medical professional with an MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata, MD in Community Medicine from TNMC & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, and a Diploma in Applied Epidemiology from NIHFW Delhi. Currently serving as Senior Resident at GMC Mumbai, with professional experience spanning roles as House Physician at BSMC Medical College and CNMC & Hospital, Medical Officer at Shivani Seva Niketan Hospital and Cure Hospital in West Bengal, and further clinical roles at Sakra Hospital, Columbia Asia Hospital, and Fortis Hospital in Bangalore. Methodological skillset is strengthened through certifications in Advanced Statistical Analysis using SPSS, Research Methodology using R, Good Clinical Practice (NIDA Clinical Trials Network), the Basic Course in Biomedical Research (ICMR-NIE), and Qualitative Research. Community engagement is reflected through active involvement in multiple health camps across rural Maharashtra. Leadership credentials include serving as State Convener of IMA JDN Maharashtra State and Joint Secretary of the Maharashtra Senior Resident Doctors Association (MSRDA), GMC Mumbai Council. Additional roles include former Directorate of Medical Education – IMA JDN Maharashtra State, Founder and Advisory Member of IMA-JDN GMC Council, Founder and Former General Secretary of IMA-JDN Nair Council, and Former Cultural Secretary of MARD, Nair Hospital Unit—establishing strong credibility and influence among resident doctors. Recognition includes the title of Young Leader – IMA Maharashtra State and felicitation for leadership of the IMA-JDN Nair Council, supported by a solid record of coordinating multi-college and state-level IMA activities, public health campaigns, sports events, cultural festivals, protests for doctors’ rights, and blood donation and medical camps. Academic and conference contributions include the Best Oral Presentation at NATCOM 2023, multiple awards in poster making (World Health Day 2023, World Breastfeeding Week 2022), distinctions in quiz competitions (IMA Challenges in Diabetes 2.0), accolades in street play competitions, and recognition for reel-making (World Health Day 2024). Academic presentations include sessions delivered on platforms such as MediSage (case-based learning) and Academia IAPSM e-connect, as well as participation in various state and national conferences. Beyond academics, artistic discipline is demonstrated through formal training in Bharatanatyam and Rabindra Nritya, contributing to a well-rounded profile marked by academic excellence, organisational leadership, community outreach, and cultural engagement.
