One of the most scintillating highlights of ETHOS cultural fest is the ‘Poetry Slam’ competition. Poetry slam not only gives a chance to poets to flaunt their poetry skills but also takes the challenge to a whole new level in which the competence of the participants is tested by their poetic capacity to compose poems on specific themes given by ETHOS. This is your opportunity to shine. Ethos will provide you with an international platform on which participants from all over the world will pen their poems, recite it and mail us their recitation video from which few selected poets will be given the opportunity to recite their poem live in front of the whole world in the live conference.
POETRY SLAM

Under the broad wings of bioethics, each participant will be asked to compose an original poem and submit a video of it being recited to the google form.

Of all the entries received, 4 entries will be selected out by a panel of judges.

On the day of the conference, these 4 contestants will be reciting their poems, and out of them two winners will be announced by the panel of judges.

3.Voices of the Unborn: A poem on reproductive autonomy
4.Designer babies " the perfection we ordered or the imperfections we missed"
5. Human clones " Mirror bodies Moral boundaries"
6. "Want to sign up for cryonics?"
TOPICS:
RULES AND REGULATIONS

Individual competition. No group entries.

All the poems must be original.
-
Poems must be relevant to the topic and translate bioethics in a broader way.
-
The video should be of a minimum duration of 1 min 30 seconds and a maximum duration of 5 minutes.

No offensive language should be used.
-
Religious/political views are not to be publicized in any way.
-
The English language is the only preferred medium.

Final judgement and announcement of winners: In the Valedictory ceremony
VIDEO SPECIFICATIONS

Hand gestures and expressions should be clearly visible (preferably recited in standing position).

Voice quality should be good and crystal clear without any background noise.
