Hey There

Slam poetry not only gives a chance to poets to flaunt their poetry skills but also takes the challenge to a whole new level in which the competence of the participants is tested by their poetic capacity to compose poems on specific themes given by ETHOS. This is your opportunity to shine.

Slam Poetry

Several Open Books

Under the broad wings of bio ethics ,each participant will
be required to write an original poetry and send a video of
its recitation through the google form on the ETHOS
website.

Of the entries received, 4 entries will be selected to
perform live during the conference.

 

On the day of conference, the 4 participants will perform
their poetry live and 2 winners will be declared.

TOPICS

1. Exploring  patient-physician relationship
2. Global responses to epidemics
3. Confidentiality
4. Euthanasia

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Individual competition (No group entries)

  • The poetry must be original.

  • They must be relevant to the topic and translate bioethics in a broader wing.

The video should be of :-

  • Minimum duration: 1 min 30 seconds

  • Maximum duration: 3 minutes

  • No foul language to be used.

  • Religious/political views are not to be included.

  • English is the only preferred medium.

VIDEO SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Video: Hand gestures and expressions should be clearly visible (preferably recited in standing position). Voice quality should be good and crystal clear without any background noise.

 

  • Video Format: MP4

Judgement Criteria

Poetry:

  • Content

  • Relevance to the topic

  • Creative quotient

Recitation:

  • Expression

  • Clarity/enunciation

  • Flow

  • Voice modulation

  • Hand gestures

THE PARTICIPANT IS SUPPOSED TO SHARE A LINK OF THEIR VIDEO FROM THEIR GOOGLE DRIVE (OF THEIR BELOW MENTIONED EMAIL ID ).
