Meet Dr. Akshay!
Dr. Akshay Yadav completed his MBBS from MGIMS, Sevagram in 2019 and went on to earn his M.D. in Anaesthesiology from LTMMC and Sion Hospital, Mumbai (Maharashtra, India). He is currently pursuing his superspeciality degree in Critical Care Medicine at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai.
He has been associated with ETHOS since its inception as a member of the Organising Committee and served as the Head of the Students’ Wing of the MGIMS Bioethics Unit from 2017 to 2019. He later became the President of the Students’ Wing of the LTMMC Sion Bioethics Unit from 2020 to 2022. Under his leadership, numerous village outreach health camps were conducted to raise awareness on issues such as Say No to Tobacco, Tuberculosis, Breastfeeding , Say No to pollution and more.
Dr. Yadav has been actively involved with various wings of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) since 2014, holding important positions including National Co-Convener of IMA JDN and Standing Committee National Convenor of IMA MSN. He has also been a dedicated member of the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD), serving as President of Sion MARD from 2020 to 2021 and later as an Advisory Committee Member of BMC MARD. Additionally, he has held leadership roles in FORDA, the SNO–Maharashtra Chapter, and has been associated with TUFH (WHO), AIMSA, and ASMI.
Committed to academic excellence, Dr. Yadav has participated in several research projects and has published six papers in national and international journals. He has also received several national awards for both academic excellence and extracurricular achievements.
Despite the demanding life of a superspeciality resident doctor, he finds time to nurture his personal interests. He enjoys playing chess and is passionate about the guitar.
