Shivam Kaushik

Dr. Shivam Kaushik completed his MBBS from K S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore, in 2024 and is currently in the process of joining his residency through the ongoing counselling process. He has been actively associated with ETHOS since his early years in medical school. He was a part of the Organising Team for ETHOS 2021, and went on to serve as the Student Organising Secretary for ETHOS 2022, hosted at NITTE (Deemed to be University), Mangalore. Dr. Kaushik has played a significant role in the development of the NITTE Students Bioethics Wing, serving as a member from 2020 to 2021, President from 2021 to 2023, and Student Advisor from 2023 to 2024. During his tenure, he conceptualised and executed several initiatives, including the highly successful Monthly Group Discussions on Ethical Dilemmas, a program that continues to run in the institution due to its strong impact and student engagement. Committed to academic growth, Dr. Kaushik has completed two research projects, both of which have been published. Beyond academics and bioethics, he has demonstrated strong leadership and organisational skills. He served as the Organiser for TEDxNitteDU 2022 and the Organising Secretary for N-VISION 2024, an international medical and research conference held at K S Hegde Medical Academy in 2024. Despite a demanding academic journey, Dr. Kaushik continues to pursue his personal interests. He enjoys playing basketball, staying active in the gym, and strongly believes that teamwork is the foundation for achieving any goal.
