Bernhard Gaede

Bernhard Gaede is associate professor and head of department of Family Medicine at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. He worked in rural hospital setting for well over a decade prior to joining the University, working with traditional healers, homebased carers and community structures. He has a broad interest in medical humanities including health care systems, health professional education in peripheral sites, community-level care and medical anthropology.
