Meet Vaishnavi!

Dr. Vaishnavi Hiren Joshi is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Occupational Therapy, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru, specializing in neurological rehabilitation. A university rank holder in both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, she has been recognized early in her career for academic excellence, leadership, and research contributions. She has presented and participated in 3 international, 9 national, and 5 state-level conferences, including prestigious international platforms such as the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) Congress 2022 in Paris, where she was among the first Indian students ever selected to present, Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) Congress, Canada,  and World Federation of NeuroRehabilitation (WFNR). She has authored four peer-reviewed publications and received notable recognitions including the Bharati Kirti Patel Youth Talent Award and the Best Delegate Award at OTICON 2023, All India Occupational Therapists' Association's (AIOTA) annual national conference. Her research spans sleep disorders, dementia care, migraine, gender disaggregated services, stroke, GBS and autism. Beyond her academic and clinical roles, she actively mentors students, leads scientific and professional events, and contributes to strengthening research culture, innovation, and evidence-based occupational therapy practice.
