Dr. Kristen Jones-Bonofiglio
PhD, RN; Director, Centre for Health Care Ethics and Director & Associate Professor, School of Nursing, Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada; Head, 1st Canadian Bioethics Unit of the Network of the International Chair in Bioethics.
Dr. Jones-Bonofiglio is a registered nurse with graduate degrees in public health and educational studies (specialized in cognition and learning). She has expertise in health care ethics, moral distress experiences, mental health and addiction, and innovative pedagogies. Her clinical background involves acute care and correctional nursing. In 2017, she became a Fellow of the Associated Medical Services (AMS) Phoenix Foundation with arts-based research on teaching and learning compassion in nursing. She is an international faculty member with the Education Department of the International Chair in Bioethics.
